Historic Hotel in Central Beach

Recommended for: Local Flavor Family

A favorite with European visitors, the Sea Club Resort opened in 1952 as the Jolly Roger, designed by Miami architect Tony Sherman and the first hotel in the area to offer air-conditioning. Jayne Mansfield stayed there when she was married to Mickey Hargitay, father of Mariska. The Fort Lauderdale honored it as a historic hotel in 2009. Renamed and massively renovated, the 99-room property maintains the classic flair of the original while adding a nightclub and 21st century amenities. It offers pre- and post-cruise packages.
