For nearly 25 years sailors and Marines have been having their own spring break in Fort Lauderdale. Several thousand are on shore leave while the public takes guided tours of Navy and Coast Guard ships. The public is also invited to the All Hands on Deck welcoming party is held at the Seminole Paradise in Hollywood and a block party in Himmarshee Village in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The event overlaps with the Fort Lauderdale Air Show on the beach.
