With an award-winning beach, Bahia Honda State Park is good for beachcombing, swimming, camping, birding and kayaking. Just off shore is Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary, which is a reef rather than a key and has great scuba diving and snorkeling for all levels of proficiency. Calusa Beach on the sheltered Gulf side of the park is a great picnic spot and also has excellent snorkeing.  Kayaks and snorkeling gear can be rented at the park.
