The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame landmarked Whisky A Go-Go in 2006 in a ceremony that included the surviving members of The Doors, the club's house band back in the 1960s. The first rock 'n roll club on Sunset Strip, it hosted just about everybody who became anybody and attracted celebrity-studded crowds. The go-go dancers in cages are long gone, but the club remains a happening venue with headliners and live music. It maintains 9-to-5 office hours, but door times vary daily. The box office is cash-only, ATMs nearby.
