Mercato is a cash-only BYOB (or two or three) bistro serving Italian-American cuisine. Dishes are rooted in tradition but have an inventive bent and vary according to what's in season. It also offers a four-course tasting menu. Outdoor dining when the weather allows, but the inside dining room is small. If you forget your bottle, Valanni, Mercato's sister restaurant, across the street will sell you one.

Earned the Gastronome badge!
Nice not to have to worry about an overpriced bottle of wine at a restaurant. We stopped at a wine store to get a decent one (ok three) and then walked to this nearby restaurant for a fantastic meal. Everything from the food, service and ambiance made this a great night.
