Created by James Turrell, Knight Rise Skyspace is one of only 14 skyspaces open to the public in the United States. A truly unique experience for each visitor, the skyspace frames the sky and captures light, especially during sunrise and sunset, and plays on our perceptions of light and color. In Turrell's words, "we are dwellers at the bottom of the ocean of air. We create the color and shape of the sky. It does not exist outside the self."

Knight Rise Skyspace is located in the Nancy and Art Schwalm Sculpture Garden at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Free and open to the public during Museum hours.
