Pied Bar is something of a Provincetown landmark, and has been a meeting point for the Cape Cod lesbian community since the early 1950s when it was called the Ace of Spades. Current owner Susan Webster has kept this tradition alive, and the Pied is now a fixture on the lesbian scene. Early evenings on the bayside deck tend to be mixed, when the boys come by for an after-T drink; by the later hours it's usually just the ladies. The staff here is extremely open and friendly, and they keep the music loud and the drinks stiff. Dancing starts every night around 9:30 pm and there is never a cover.
