Billed as the largest fireworks show on the West Coast, the Big Bay Boom lights up the skies each 4th of July with pyrotechnics launched from four barges. Up to a half million people watch from five prime viewing spots around the bay, downtown hotels, high rises and boats. Accompanied by a soundtrack, the 20-minute display begins around 9 pm.
