The brick walls and wood floors at Ethiopic are more reminiscent of an upscale bistro, but the (mostly) vegetarian food at this H Street spot is complex, spicy, and meant to be eaten with your bare hands. It's on the more expensive end of the many Ethiopian restaurants in DC, but is undoubtedly one of the best. Butcha, a spicy chickpea dip, the garlicky split pea stew, and vegetarian sampler are stand-outs.
