The Arken Museum of Modern Art is slightly out of the way in suburban Ishoj, but it's one of the most impressive museums in the area, and well worth a visit. The main building was designed by Danish architect Soren Robert Lund to resemble a ship's hull, and the resulting effect - rendered in concrete, glass, and steel - is astounding. Inside guests will find a collection of avant-garde art, including a room dedicated to British artist Damien Hirst. The Arken also hosts temporary exhibits of international art, with past shows focusing on Warhol, Dali, Miro, and Picasso. Admission is 95 DKK.
