The Chagall Museum, created by the artist's will, has the largest public collection of Russian-born artist's Old Testament-inspired works, including 12 gigantic illustrations of stories from Genesis and Exodus and his five-painting series of the Song of Songs. The museum's garden, designed by Henri Fish, has a pool reflecting a Chagall mosaic. Free admission on the first Sunday of the month. Reopening after a major restoration was scheduled Jan. 20, 2016.
