Les Deux Magots (two Chinese figurines) has been center of French literary life since the late 19th century and continues to be associated with a top literary award. It's worth a coffee on the terrace to image that you're hanging out with Hemingway or Sartre, but it hasn't become a tourist trap. While the clientele is mostly tourists, good food and good service continue. The two Chinese figurines, originally in a fabric and novelty shop on the site of Les Deux Magots's original location, oversee the diningroom.
