Near the border of Schöneberg, the club opened in 1987 as a ready-made d locale for wayward artists and scenesters. Today it is still a prominent dive bar for gays and lesbians, as well as the punk and post-punk subculture (Karl Largerfeld even did a photoshoot on the premises). The music still covers everything from schlager to industrial, and the Island-of-the-Lost-Boys ambience is as palpable as ever.
