Sitges, just 35 kilometers (22 mi.) south of Barcelona, has been a big-time Gay destination since Spain's first Gay nightclub opened there in the 1980s. Sometimes called "Ibiza in miniature" or "Spain's Saint-Tropez," it is an artsy town with 17 great beaches, nightlife every night, an international film festival featuring horror and fantasy movies and a famous Carnival.
