Garraf Park covers almost 12,820 hectares (2,000 acres) of weathered limestone hills full of caves, sink holes and Mediterranean scrubland with thickets of rosemary and thyme. One of the few buildings in the park is Plana Novella, a pre-modernist country home, which has been a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery since 1996. The monastery, closed Mondays, has guided visits, seminars and retreats. About 24 kilometers (15 miles) from Sitges, the park can be reached from Sitges by car, by bike or on foot.
