The 14 rooms at the Helvetia are basic, bright and stylish with an inviting greyscale scheme and city and river views. Although the property is centrally located and convenient to the train station, rooms do pick up noise from the street and can be quite warm as there is no air conditioning. The Gault-Millau rated restaurant on the ground floor serves market-fresh regional cuisine, and the hotel bar, known as the Helvti, has a long history as a counter culture hangout for artists, students, musicians in the 1970s and 80s.
