The Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires, more commonly known as the MALBA, houses an impressive permanent collection of works by modern masters from across Latin America including works by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Tarsila do Amaral. The cultural center on site organizes temporary exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, workshops and children's activities. There is also a gourmet Café des Arts attached to the museum that overlooks the Plaza Republica de Peru.
