Celebrating the city's founding, the Bogota Carnival centers on a costumed parade as the streets around the park fill with dancers, artists, storytellers, puppeteers and folkloric performances. Intended to celebrate the cultural and musical diversity of Colombia, it kicks off with pre-carnival events in July.
