Built in 1957 in the hibiscus-covered hills overlooking Acapulco Bay, Las Brisas was THE posh Acapulco hideaways in mid-20th century. Part of a Las Brisas chain today, it still offers extras like complimentary donuts and coffee waiting at your door each morning and a shuttle down to a private beach with tidal pools and a broad assortment of water sports. Pink jeeps cart you around inside the resort, and you can hire a jeep to take you to town about 15 minutes away. Suites and bungalows are deliciously private, many with their own plunge pools. Yes, the '60s are alive and well at Las Brisas.
