Tre Piatti takes its name from the restaurant's offering of three choices each under the categories of starters, mains and desserts. Opened in 2015, it changes its menu every two weeks and features an open kitchen indoors and two 120-year-old mango trees shading the patio. Owner-chef Chanan Kamen has worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy, New York and San Francisco and met his Guadalajaran-born wife Natalie - Tre Piatti's hostess and pastry chef - when they worked at the three-starred Quince in San Francisco.
