A wooden pier at Los Muertos in the 1960s was used by cruise ships and for moving movie equipment during the filming of "Night of the Iguana" in Mismoloya south of Puerto Vallarta. In 1990, it was replaced by a hum-drum concrete pier. The new Los Muertos Pier, opened in 2013, is a far classier affair and the perfect place for a romantic walk at sunset or a Mardi Gras Party. Designed by José de Jesus Torres Vega and costing US$6.5 million, it has been listed as one of the most beautiful piers in the world. It resembles a large soaring sail, illuminated at night, and has a waterfront promenade and berthing spaces for water taxis, fishing charters, private yachts and tour boats.

It's just good times with good friends (old and new) at Los Amigos, a no-frills, no-pretense gay cantina with no cover and no desigher cocktails. What you'll find is a pool table , free Internet and breezes...
