Techinally a monadnock, a stone that rises isolated from a plane, Arabia Mountain is well-worth the drive out East beyond the Perimeter. An eerie lunar landscape, it's both a serene and unsettling rock face filled with shallow pools alive with sprites, quillwort and salamander eggs, while still bearing the scars of its quarry past. One of Atlanta's most beautiful natural sites, especially when the crimson-red diamorpha blooms in the Winter.
