Knaus Berry Farms is a cash-only farm store that has been in the same family since 1956. Folks make the trek down to Homestead for home-made baked goods, jams, shakes and ice cream and to pick their own strawberries and tomatoes in season. The tempting pie selection includes pecan, key lime, guava and fruit pies like apple, blueberry, cherry, peach and raspberry. Shoo Fly Pie, the Pennsylvania Dutch molasses classic, is by special order. It is only open in the winter growing season.
