It feels like you might have stumbled onto a movie set for an old western film - this museum complex is a great day trip from Phoenix at the foot of the Superstition Mountains. The Museum embodies the history of white settlers to the region and preserves the lore of the eerily named Superstition Mountains. Next to the gallows, dentist, and old jail you'll even find a little white chapel with Elvis inside. The Museum's namesake, Jacob Waltz, was known as "the Dutchman" and famously took the secret location of his mine to his grave in 1891.
