This paradise for outdoor adventures is located on Sauvie Island at the confluence of the Columbia and Willamette rivers. The long, narrow river beach is divided into a clothing-optional section with a reputation for being an LGBTQ hangout and a family friendly clothing required section. Many folks combine a beach trip with a visit to one of the many Sauvie Island berry farms or hiking trails.
Head North on route 30 out of downtown, then turn right over the Sauvie Island bridge. Bear right off the ramp, then right again onto Reeder Rd. If you're feeling ambitious, throw your bike on the #16 Trimet bus and bike from the bridge to the beach.
