The polished brass details and leather couches at Beaux may lead you to believe that it's just a spot for a few beers - and it is a good stop for happy hour - but the real fun at this relatively new location are the late-night dance parties. Every night has a theme, from hip-hop Mondays to Pussy Party Wednesdays to homo-disco circus Sundays, and the crowd is young and hot, particularly the bar staff. Fridays are the infamous Manimal parties, complete with go-go boys on platforms and crazy DJs. Cover is $3 Fri and Sat. Beaux occupies the site where The Castro's first gay bar, The Missouri Mule, opened in 1963.
