The menu at Namu Gaji in the Mission has been described as Korean soul food, and that's a pretty fair description of the rich, layered flavors you'll find in dishes like marinated beef tongue and shiitake mushroom dumplings. Their version of bibimbap is a particularly Californian take: the steak is Marin Sun Farms grass-fed, the vegetables organic, and the egg on the top is fresh from Sonoma. The dining room is suitably warm and natural, with softly curved wooden tables and stools and elegant amber lamps. Open Tues 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Wed-Fri 11 a.m. - 3 p.m and 5 p.m. - 10 p.m., Sat 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 11 p.m., Sun 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 10 p.m.
