Two miles west of downtown, the Grand Central District is making a name for itself as the place to eat, drink, party, shop and celebrate Pride. Hip and artsy, it is St. Petersburg's gayborhood and is pedestrian- and bike-friendly. Many bars and restaurants sponsor events during the annual June Pride Street Festival, which draws around 50,000.
