Though nominally a wine bar, this chic Logan Circle spot also succeeds as a modern-American restaurant. While many of the small-plate menu's most popular items are for carnivores-duck confit or buttermilk biscuits with ham-vegetarians will be more than satisfied with the pistachio-avocado toast or fried squash blossoms. The cozy space can get a little loud later in the night, but a few of their excellent wine flights and the charming service should keep you happy. If you fall for their chicken-liver mousse, as many do, you can buy it at the nearby Cork Market.
