HaYarkon Park is in the northern quadrant of Tel Aviv, and has over 3,000 acres of park land including formal gardens, a bird park, a river with boat rentals and swathes of grassy lawn perfect for lounging or a picnic. Many people choose to rent a bike so they can cover more ground, but there are also roller blades, a rock climbing wall, sporting courts and trampolines. Keep your eyes peeled for the emus and ibexes that wander here, and try to come for sunset, which is lovely against the water of the Yarkon River.
