The Danhostel chain is very popular in Denmark, and the five-star, 16-story branch in Indre By is one of the largest in the country. Rates are dirt cheap - though you do have to pay for extras like bed linen, towels, and locker locks - and the rooms are modern and comfortable, with the largest sleeping up to six guests. This is by far the most affordable place to stay in central Copenhagen, but is probably best left to the young, as the atmosphere can lean more towards a dormitory than a place of rest.
