Housed in an early 20th century villa this world-class museum features many Munich painters such as Klee, Kandinsky and Macke. The permanent collection showcases these artists as well as others who participated in the Blaue Reiter group's New Objectivity movement, and other German modernist schools. The temporary exhibitions tend to focus on contemporary art.
