The tourist train in Ibiza does not run on tracks as most trains do. It is an old Jeep dressed-up as locomotive pulling wagons full of tourists through the hills, valleys and woods of the island. The approximately nine mile (15 km) trip takes people to the beautiful countryside, sandy beaches and local attractions, including Cala Mastella and Cala Lleña beaches, the picturesque San Carlos village, the cove of Pou des Lléo and Cala Boix where there is time for a short stroll and a drink by the sea. On Saturdays, the itinerary is slightly different, taking you to Cala Nova, and Las Dalias hippy market as well as San Carlos village. It departs from Santa Eulària's promenade. Don't forget the suncream, plenty of water and the swimwear.
