The three-story National Museum, the oldest and largest museum in the country, has 17 permanent exhibition rooms, highlighting Colombian art and history from pre-Colombian to modern artists, and special national and international shows. It is arranged chronologically, ground floor up, and is free on Sundays. Signage is in Spanish. Inside the museum are El Panóptico, a restaurant featuring regional cuisine, and a Juan Valdez Café but is in a neighborhood of fine restaurants.
