La Vía RecreActiva encourages bicyclists, skaters, skateboarders, dog walkers and pedestrians to take to the streets each Sunday morning and holidays by turning major thoroughfares into recreational routes. Various activities for adults and children and live music can be found along the way. In some places, bicycles may be rented. The program was founded in 2011 and now has routes in El Salto, Guadalajara, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Tlaquepaque, Tonalá and Zapopan.
