Inaugurated in 1905 by President Porfirio Diaz, the adobe fortress has been a military museum since 1999. It covers the history of warfare in Mexico from its earliest days and displays historic flags, arms, military maps and uniforms. Airplanes and tanks are in the garden. Guided tours are available. Admission is free.
