The recently remodeled Rehilete Alcalde Park has been a popular city park since 1861 and one of Guadalajara's most beautiful. It is nearly 20 acres (8 ha) of green with boating on a lake, a large artificial waterfall called "La Monumental," a miniature train and amusements for children.
