A landmark in downtown Chicago, Russian Tea Time opened its doors in 1993, serving. Inside, the dining room is a mix of rich mahogany and birch wood, white table clothes, elegant reds - topped with chandeliers and backed by soft balaika music. The extensive menu is a classic mix of dishes from the former Soviet Union: borscht, stroganoff, blinis, vareniky, latkes and caviar to name a few. Afternoon tea service with over 30 teas accompanied by sweet and savory treats is from 2:30 to 4:30 pm daily, or cocktails include flights of house infused vodkas.
