The blue whale is a live jazz club, art gallery and bar created by jazz vocalist Joon Lee. The Korean immigrant, who studied architecture in New York, turned a run-down karaoke bar into an intimate, sophisticated space with a curved bar and upholstered cubes for seating. The musicians - established and emerging talent - perform between two pillars rather than isolated on an elevated stage. The bar features small-batch spirits, cocktails and a rotation of draft craft beer.
