The $1.3 billion Getty Center is home to the hilltop Getty Museum, designed by Richard Meier and anchored by J. Paul Getty's a breath-taking collection that includes Van Gogh's Irises. The site, high in the Santa Monica Mountains, also offers incredible views from its gardens. One of the most visited museums in the US, it has free admission. Paid parking is available for cars and motorcycles; bicycle park free. You can also come by taxi or leave your car in one of the free park-and-ride lots around the county and take public transportation. Metro Rapid Line 734 (Monday - Friday) and Metro Local 234 (Weekends, holidays, late and early weekdays) serve The Getty directly. You may also want to visit the Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades.
