The Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights are the main attractions at the National Archives, located on Constitution Ave across from the Archives Metro stop. These documents are kept in titanium cases in a 75ft high central rotunda, where crowds come to pay their respects to these hundreds year old parchments. The Archives research stacks contain some of the most significant historical documents in the world and function as a major research center. There are many interactive displays-including Oval Office audio recordings of Abraham Lincoln-with murals, videos, and films. Closed for holidays.
