The Hong Kong Heritage Museum presents the best of Hong Kong's history, art and culture in an exhibition space of some 7,500 square meters (0ver 80,000 sq. ft.). It has six permanent galleries including New Territories History and Cantonese Opera Heritage. The T.T. Tsui Gallery of Chinese Art has exquisite pieces such as a Han Dynasty terra-cotta horse and rider and Tibetan thanka paintings. Six other galleries host special exhibits such as the multi-media "Bruce Lee: Kung Fu - Art - Life," which runs through July 2018. The museum building is built like a traditional he yuan, a compound of houses around a central courtyard.
