Designed by British architect Terry Farrell in 1996, the tower - resembling a wok - is a destination in itself, offering the highest 360-degree view in all of Hong Kong, restaurants and the Peak Mart, which sells Chinese artwork, curios and silk collectibles. The Peak Lookout, formerly the Peak Café, is in a historic building, which resembles an English cottage and retains much of its original arts and crafts flavor. The tower is a starting point for a number of nature walks, some as short as a 10-minute ramble and others all-day hike.
