This broad shingle and sand beach is the most central of Brighton's beaches. In summer months, crowds gather along the pebbled beach and dunk into the refreshing swimmable sea. Beyond the water and sand, there is plenty of distraction from the giant ferris wheel, bustling promenade and the Sea Life Centre to the amusement of Brighton Palace Pier. It's also less than 2 minutes walk to the impressive Royal Palace, The Lanes and Kemptown.
