Plage Coco, east of the harbor, has large rocks interspersed with paths and ladders down to gorgeous if sometimes dangerous waters. Popular with gays, it is a good place to play beach volleyball and to sun, but you risk a fine for nude sun-bathing. The sea-side fish restaurant, opened in 1936 by a fisherman named Coco, has a notable bouillabaisse, which has to be ordered in advance. Cocteau, Picasso, Pagnol and Sacha Guitry are among the celebrities who frequented it over the decades. Accessible by public buses #30 or #T32.
