The Mercado de San Miguel is the last remaining iron market hall in Madrid. Built in 1916 as a traditional public market, it is now a bustling food destination with gourmet stalls and carts, peddling some of Spain's finest products and culinary bites in the lively center of the old quarter. Standouts include the paella, Lhardy and a gastronomic library. Open until 2 am on weekends.
