The Lapa Arches, also known as the Carioca Aqueduct, are an impressive set of 42 arches, built in the Roman style in the mid-1700s. Originally, they transported water to the city but now serve as a bridge for the renovated Santa Teresa tram line or "bonde", in operation since the late 19th century and one of the oldest of its kind in the world

It's a great monument to admire and take some pictures. It's held in the center of the bohemian area of Rio, Lapa.
Take care with your belongings.
