Revolcadero is the late-morning weekend hangout of Acapulco's beautiful people. In Acapulco Diamante on the ocean 10 kilometers (6 miles) southeast of Acapulco Bay, it has facilities for renting water-sport equipment, towels and umbrellas. You can also arrange for a one-hour horseback ride with a bi-lingual guide. Translated as "Tumbler Beach," it generally has surf tumbling in. Red flags fly when the waters are dangerous, but it's suitable only for strong swimmers. Grayish sand stretches for 6 kilometers (4 miles) by exclusive condo towers and hotels like the Hotel Princess Mundo Imperial and Fairmont Pierre Marques. The public section is at the eastern end.
