Built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exhibition, the Palace of Fine Arts is one of the most photographed spots in the city, and its terracotta dome and swan-filled lake are instantly recognizable. The original was constructed solely as a picturesque backdrop, but was so beloved that it was recast in concrete and made permanent. Come to take pictures or just stroll the grounds, and stay to check out other nearby Marina attractions.
