With his flair for the unusual and a keen eye for detail, Chef Eyal Shani has made Abraxas North into one of the most popular restaurants in Tel Aviv. There are a few quirks here - guests eat directly off the paper tablecloth rather than from plates - but one thing you can always rely on is the delicious food. The menu changes daily, depending on what looks best at the market, but some popular dishes appear with regularity like the excellent hamburger or shrimp-stuffed pita. Reservations can be hard to get; grab a seat at the bar if you show up early.
